Market commentary for 04/13/2009

Friday we opened with a strong gap based on WFC's better than expected results. Unfortunately all the trading plans and watch ideas were useless because of it. We used the gap rule but all the charts are similar and it is difficult to predict which ones will work. The SPY and the QQQQ opened above the previous daily high which was a good signal for a buying continuation, which we got in the morning. The DIA was again the weakest and until end of day it reached the previous high resistance area. On Thursday we had only one low risk setup and that was setup above 5 or 15 min. After that trading risk increased and after the morning action the rest of the day was worthless from a risk view. I know that I sound like broken record because I mention in every commentary and several times every day in trading room that the trading risk is high, but ...........
